Known lost WADs of our history?

As I recall there was a jwango13 as well, once upon a time I had both of them, but never burned them to disc or anything and it's no longer possible to get either from Wayback anymore either.  I still kick myself when I think of them but it was before I really realized the importance of personally archiving anything that might be interesting.

I'm honestly not sure if there was anything unique about them beyond the compilation arrangement, though, I'm pretty sure the custom sprites were just a mashup of selections from other sources and the maps may have likewise been borrowed.

The original 3 episode release of Doom. Every platform that sells Doom nowadays is Ultimate Doom (Or in some cases, just called Doom) that obviously includes TFC. But the base release can only be acquired now through second hand sites like Ebay.

Not just for Doom, but other similar episode based shooters from the 90's. Heretic/Duke Nukem 3D/etc

That's hardly lost, just hard to find. Not to mention downgraders (as mentioned in the post above mine), and no doubt there's more than a few people out there with the WAD. Just, y'know, can't exactly be uploaded for fairly obvious reasons.

I am curious if Green Goddess should be on this list as well... or can one still download it?

You can still download it from dsda. The question is *should* you download it... (no :D)

Now, about Sitters, there's a bunch of maps (The Aztec, Rocket Base, Welcome to Hell) which are no longer available online because they were not updated to the latest R3D - however, I happen to have them, in a bit of an unsorted folder. I never bothered to upload it because I just don't know what the best venue to do so is, but if anyone is interested I can upload the stuff.

Also there's Regypt, which is found on this map pack on iddqd.ru, but don't expect much as it appears to had barely been finished.

At some point during the development of The Master Levels, Romero considered including these WADs. I think I've found everything there besides

jsf02ai!.wad

jsf03x.wad

jsf05k.wad

These wads have a similar name scheme as "jsf01.wad" by Joe Fouch but if these missing wads are by Joe, I can't find any of his other releases anywhere.

In the README for jsf01, Joe says that it was the first level he uploaded and that happened 2/10/95. I assume the missing wads were subsequent maps made by him in a series of sort. These missing maps must have been uploaded between February and December (release of master levels) 1995.

==WHOOPS didn't realize this was already brought up here, sorry guys

It seems that the 3-map 2009 TNT2 demo is lost to time? I can't find it anywhere. According to comments from back in the day, it had gothic-looking maps. The project at the time was apparently called "TNT 2: Revolution".

I think this is it: tnt2demo.zip

How interesting. I get something mentioned here. I feel honored. I thought it would have been about the Doom version of Pokestein 3D lol.

The footage in that video was before I had updated the mod. The newer version changed some of the original images. I think half of the Scrubs images were replaced with Parks and Recreation images and I had finally changed the victory screen in it. I don't think I actually have the old version seen in that video unfortunately. I had seen some other videos of the old version years ago when people were playing it in Skulltag or Zandronum, but I can't seem to find them again.

Oh, it turns out I do have another video of the old version that is privated, however, the download link only leads to the updated version. So the old version is pretty much gone. The video showed the unedited SJAS sprites and the old images.
