WMC05: Brutalisk

 

WMC05: Brutalisk (WIP) Voids of ash expand beyond the lines of humanity. Civilization is but a fickle piece of dust among the ocean of dimensional madness. Quiet souls lie restless in the pits of oblivion, vanished to nevermore. Can you survive the dread? Can you escape the madness? Or will you fall... and be part of the obelisk?

 

Basics:

- Format: UDMF

- IWAD: DOOM2

- Engine: GZDoom

- New enemies: Yes

- New textures: Yes

Theme: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brutalist_architecture Gray concrete, white walls, giant monuments, marble floors. This is brutalism. A crude and raw world, like living inside a forgotten era, from a forgotten world. Dead trees, buried bodies, broken shrines, wailing souls. Cold, yes, cold as the void.

(Feel free to propose more ideas/resources)

 

Rules:

1. Pistol start balanced.

2. Difficulty settings must be implemented.

3. Each map should be around 10-15 minutes max on UV. Short maps are, of course, welcome.

4. No less than 50 monsters and no more than 300. Slaughter is allowed, but as long as you don't go too goddamn crazy. If you want to go over the limit, contact @Endless or @4MaTC

5. Each map must have at least one Wadazine-related easter-egg.

NOTE: We reserve the right to modify your map to further adjust it to fit into balancing/quality and/or in case you take too long to communicate or refuse to do so. This rule is mostly for people that may send submissions and then never answer back or participate again.

It's just Doom Master Wadazine. Just head to our site and the invite should be there, though you can also find it in the announcement threads of every issue release on the forums.
