Is this the fastest speedmapping ever attempted??

That's like a map every 2 hours, assuming you are NOT sleeping!

And it looks *actually* good!

Just started playing this on UV w/ pistol starts. Got to MAP12, missed a few secrets here and there but I've been having a great time so far. I gotta say, your one hell of a prolific mapper! Wasn't your Cliptucky Megawad released not that long ago? I don't know how you always have so many ideas for maps. It's crazy!

Anyways, nice job. I'm looking forward to playing the rest!

thanks - some maps took longer than others, you can tell which ones I cared about. Some maps were done obscenely fast

I was never good at visuals but I hope the gameplay and gimmicks are fun - this was all just a fun but tiring experiment

Thank you so much for checking out the first 12, which I think have the better levels haha - Cliptucky was last year and I spent two months on that and had a bigger bag of ideas

I feel blessed to have ideas and stuff but this wore me out big time, I am acually thinking of taking a break after this cause my bag of tricks has run out

PS your remaining 3 maps are still on my list for down the road

Up to 15 now, on GzDoom 'cause I'm a kid like that.

I have to say MAP02 is by far my favorite, because you actually have to think and -

**** it, my favorite was map10 or something, the one where I had 10 rocket launchers and a horde of zombiemen. It satisfied my perverse pleasure of surfing thru gibs while singing aloud Margaritaville. Will play the rest this evening.

GZDOOM is awesome, Romero plays Gzdoom look it up it's a true fact

Thanks for Map 2 feedback I wondered if it was a too extreme map 2, I know it gave ppl greif haha

I must have made this too fast cause I don't remember a map 10 or so with 10 rocket launchers for zombiemen haha

Good luck! I now 15 is a bastard but I think it's one of the better ones

Oh that's brilliant, although its a shame some people still get annoyed over sourceports.

That being said, thank god he doesn't use doomsday anymore

I finished the wad, this is my review, I am takling about some maps, so dont look at it if you don't want to get spoiled.

Spoiler

I downloaded this wad on Sunday and finished it today, I gotta say, I am pleasantly surprised! First of all, I think that it is a real achievement to make an entire megawad in 3 days, so kudos for that. But this wad is not only a great achievement, I also had more fun than I expected. These maps are crazy, and I love that about them, it reminds me of some of these 90s wads full of funny gimmicks that you can't help but smile at. Even if the visuals weren't great at all and the combat was not very sophisticated because of the time pressure, but it was ridicuously fun, like in maps 6 and 32. I also loved some of the gimmicks like in map 5, in which I had a great laugh because the arch-vile wouldn't get in the crusher and kept resurrecting every monster s they could get killed again... The wad is also very short, which makes it very bingeable and replayable, with my final time barely going over an hour. However, being created the way it was, the wad has unavoidable issues. First of all, while I love the ROTT soundtrack, I think that some songs like "going up?" or "God rest ya, deadly gentlemen" don't work in gameplay, and should be reserved for title, text or intermission screens, even if I understand that it was hard to select a soundtrack so fast. Also, I disliked some maps, map 23 with the arch-viles inside the barrels, map 17 with cramped hallways, damaging floors and the cyber and 18 that is just empty being the main examples. Finally, I know he is one of our masters, but what's your obsession with Romero's head? Despite these few critcisms, I really like your wad and I think making a megawad in such a short time is a feat, so Great Job!

I had much more fun than expected with this, one of my new favorites for sure, the last few levels were a pain for me but it felt great to beat them. The Rise Of The Triad midi's were just the cherry on top, such great songs in that ost... anyways, good job Clippy!

Very happy to hear thank you for playing - everything is better with ROTT music

Awesome thanks for taking the time to play and review,

spoilers:

Thanks for the kudos re 3 day build, it was nuts - I was somehow in the zone - I got a grove to slap things together and it became an assembly line. Since I know I can't texture for crap I was aiming for a 90s feel while focusing on fights etc - trying to make them fun as I could. I am happy to hear you called out 6 and 32 as something you like, I thought 6 was garbage and tweeked it a few times, mostly worried ppl won't get to shoot your way out. lol map 5, that archie can be a pain, why I hid a bfg - I think he can make ghosts too not sure. And yes I tried to keep the maps short and playtime short. As for the ROTT music, I shoved my maps in a rott music wad - so I didn't technically select any tracks - and I recognize some don't work but hey no time to actually pick music haha. 23 was meant to dance and have the imps blow up the archies, but that along with 17 and ESPECIALLY 18 were there to allow me to reach the mark with absurdly quickly made maps. I was hoping the lobby would be at least worth a laugh haha. As for the romero head, I don't actually have an obsession, I just discovered I could use it to force quick exits when making maps quickly - once I realized I could just plop those in there for quick endings I kept on it lol - thanks for the honest review and bottom line I am very happy you had fun!

For the past week I've been reading the title as "A Pack of Lips" and just now realized what it actually says.

Haha I knew it wasn't the best title but I did everything in a rush

@sandwedge thank you so much for this video it made my day!!

The maps seem to work well except for map 8 is still quite mean

I'm glad you got through 15 that may be the worst one of the non-bonus maps LOL

That Revenant missile going through the window was hilarious

Glad you had fun man I had a lot of fun watching that too your commentary was hilarious!

Finally got around to finishing this yesterday. Finished all the maps except for MAP32 (I suck at large mob/slaughter type maps, and there was a fair amount of slowdown with my computer haha. Will probably go back and try to finish it later.). Maps 08, 15, 20 (because I'm dumb and kept forgetting which teleporters I used), 28 (wasn't too hard overall but after a while I was saving every time I successfully made it across a platform haha) and 30 were the hardest for me personally. The save scumming became more prominent as the maps progressed, but still wasn't too bad as the levels are short and get to the core idea quickly.

It's still crazy to me that you created this in 3 days. It's a hell of a feat!

Thank you so much for playing! Yah map 32 I didn't expect people to find so I just filled it with monsters - they'll pretty much kill each other pretty quickly lol

And there's a secret in map 28 that makes platforming easier because I realize it's a pain

And there's nothing wrong with save scumming 😄

Thank you I'm happy I pulled this off myself. Despite the maps are so crude it still counts

Just made it through this madness (UV pistol-start) and it didnt dissapoint, at 1st played just a few maps each day but from map 17 onwards

was just dying and laughing all the time, highly recommended for veteran doomers and newbies.

It was cool to see another sequel for Bludgeonator haha, nice touch.

Map30 map was a great ending for this memorable megawad.

Bravo Clippy!
