Edward850 Posted April 2, 2022 BEX stands for Boom EXtensions, and requires Boom support. It cannot be used in chocolate doom. It requires a port such as DSDA-Doom. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Edward850 Posted April 2, 2022 (edited) Without a crash message, we can't offer any explanation. Chocolate Doom runs fine on windows 8.1, so your problem is related to something else you've yet to identify. Edited April 2, 2022 by Edward850 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Frost-Core Posted April 2, 2022 Is this it? : http://paste.debian.net/1236540/ also i copied it from "problem details" 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Dark Pulse Posted April 2, 2022 (edited) Ahh, in this case he's not talking about BEX, the Boom Extension. He's talking about a Buffer Overflow Exception. That said, are you entering the commandline entries right? -iwad doom2.wad -merge room.wad -deh room.deh Edited April 2, 2022 by Dark Pulse 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Frost-Core Posted April 2, 2022 Anyway, Crispy Doom is close to chocolate doom and it worked 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

The latter is something you can do on your own and the former is just rude to ignore. Given Crispy works i suspect an internal limit or a system issue. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
