Masters of boom: Microsoft store. What the hell is this thing

I was browsing the Microsoft store out of morbid curiosity and found this. The mouse doesn't work. Freedoom assets and bad midis. Seriously what is this

I probably seen also the map in the 3rd shot, looks like you just found a lazy ass compilation megawad made of 1994 maps (not even slightly modern maps!), i hope this thing don't have a payment download...

Ahh, the microsoft store, the home of garbage, also why is it using stuff  from freedoom in the screenshots and game? why cant it tell you "Please load a IWAD of Doom or Doom II, or use freedoom" then they link freedoom, also they didnt even credit the creators of the maps

EDIT : its free, and in the description they tell you about iwads n stuff, but here is my question :

Is it for DOOM II/Final Doom? if it is for Doom I (or Ultimate Doom) then you would not be able to load the levels since they have different names, so if this is a Doom II PWAD, then you cant run it in Doom I (SInce Doom 2 has MAP## and Doom I has E#M#), also i dont get why you would run it in plutonia and tnt

Yes that was what i  looked for. I saw dwars video. But masters of boom uses the exact same engine

He sort of did. A lot of the microsoft store source ports are the same thing.

Thats Doom : Pack II, which (apparently) has the same engine as The Masters of BOOM, but man i'd love to see it with freedoom and those maps, and cant wait for The Masters Of PRBOOM!

Good eye. FWIW I think the third shot is from gerbilz. Both of these came up in the specific wads thread last year. Perhaps this was where you saw it (and where, I now realise, the original poster also mentioned a "Doom Pack 1", so I suppose this explains what that was).
