Ive found a way to break map 3 a little bit 😝

From the megasphere secret near the start you can jump out of the window onto the ledge to the left. From there you can go behind the building to the next area from somwhere you shouldnt be, you can walk right up to the edge of the map and you can also find a spot to fall through the floor into the void.

Good maps by the way. I love long adventures like this. First level is my favorite. Just something about tech bases. 😃

Of course not this year. The question is whether you will finish it in 2024. Hope you to finish it before November 2024 and have good chance in Cacowards 2024! The wad really looks like a good thing, and I wanted to walk it through, but I haven't yet. Maybe next week.

 

And I'm excitedly wondering what the final level in this game will be like. I wonder if there will be an Icon of Sin there? ;) However, this is not so important. I'm intrigued to see what it will be, at least approximately.

I think, i'll finish it in next year, maybe in summer, who knows, i didn't even started. I'm resting now after intense mapping of last months.

No. I'm not going to say a lot about ending, but i can say, that i already know how i want to end this wad and there will be no Icon of sin.

I think there will be problem in understanding what exactly happening, because not everyone even reads about story in wads and plays it just like set of maps.

And of course i doubt of my ability in environmental storytelling. But i hope, that i can handle it and make my thoughts into maps.

Map 1 was a bit rough and felt without identity. But 2-3-4 were amazing! Although lay down on the 20 damage nukage please! I think this should be nominated for the next Cacos

I already did :D 

In first version every green nukage had 20% damage. This moment even gave born to a meme in RDC, that called "Slavius's nukage" XD

But of course i learn and on my other works there is not many 20% damage floors ^^

Recently I completed the first map at Ultra Violence. It was very cool and it really looks like a strong project. Especially, visual design: it is 10/10. The only drawback of the first map, in my opinion, is that it is too long. Probably this can not be changed, because the map is strongly non-linear (but well-planned, so, it was not dull to investigate it. Just too much time). So, the player should be prepared that a single map of this project longs as a whole episode in usual Doom. And a couple of details that maybe will help to improve map 1 (in my opinion):

 

- Too many Spectres. Remove them from places where they play a minor role.

- Green acid still causes too much damage. Maybe it would be better to set the smallest damage (I mean Special 7 of a sector).

 

What about maps 2 and 3. I decided to play them at "I'm too young to die", with pistol start from map 2. Just to enjoy the visual design of these maps.
