I've been mapping now for over a decade, and in that time I have accumulated a lot of abandoned work. I like to believe that all work has value, and thus I have decided to compile as much of my abandoned work together as I could find and release it to the community. To be clear, this is NOT a traditional episode release. More so, I wanted to provide just a dump of all the half-finished ideas I've had over the years and allow others to dig into it and do with it what they will.

 

I'm considering everything in this archive to be sorta public domain, in that you can feel free to do anything you want with it. Open it up and poke around, maybe try to take some inspiration from something, or even use some of the layouts as a base for your own work if you like. I hope that some value can come of these things, and if not maybe at least you got a kick out of how bad some of my early work was. :D

 

Unfortunately, this isn't ALL of the work I've abandoned over the years. I am sure there is much more out there across hard drives I've used over the years, lost to time. That tends to be the nature of abandoned work. With this release, I hope maybe some of you decide to let your abandoned work live as well -- no longer to be lost to time.

 

I've included a readme in the archive that gives a brief summary of everything included.

it opened my third eye when I discovered it. I was immediately inspired to release this whole mess.

As I'm not encroaching on an actual release, I hope this is ok - I also released a few complete but unused maps a while ago, pieces of a few found a home in others' projects!

Ah, interesting.

 

I actually have a lot of unfinished WADs of my own, but I am not sure if I want to post some of them in Doomworld, as they're probably so shitty Doomworld won't even want it to be in their servers.
