Anyway, love threads like these, shows how different and yet similar we are.

I'm from the US, specifically Indiana. Residents of the state are called "Hoosier", which is a word with no other meaning and an unknown origin. I love living here, born and raised and I believe a fifth generation Hoosier. My ancestors were from Scotland and Germany originally, and most people around here are especially Germanic - genetically and culturally. Really interesting since most people have never even been to Deutschland.

 

Food for thought.

 

Anyway, prices are low here, people are kind, weather is unpredictable but nice enough, and there's stuff to do so you don't get bored.
