I've had a root canal 3 years ago because one of my bottom wisdom teeth decided to suppress the blood flow for the adjacent tooth, resulting in its nerves' death. It then caused abscess, which led me to the dentist to solve the problem. The procedure was not painful at all, because there were no nerves to feel anything for me. Earlier this year, however, a tip of the adjacent tooth broke apart, so I should return to the dentist asap, but you know we all fear them!

Surprisingly well 

 

Dr gave me iv sleepy stuff and it knocked me out so fast 

 

Then I woke up near end of surgery and dr yell at me for trying to talk while he drill and see my face but I felt nothing 

 

No pain for s while but now front hurts worst. Awkward middle tooth. Right fine left slightly

Also bummer, but understandable that you didn't want to keep them.  I was presented the option during my extraction and declined.

I got back from my root canal procedure an hour ago and it was worth it. Still need to take 600mg of Ibuprofen every six hours, and I can't chew on my No. 30 until it gets restored by my general dentist.

Turns out my dental appt this morning was for crown prep.  Have to wait for the real crown to be fabbed and then I get to have the real deal put in next month on the 14th.  Holy shit that was noisy.  Tooth is a little tender where they prepped.
