A big improvement from your first release. Still a little unrefined but you've got a good eye for fun encounters and set-pieces within the vanilla 90s-style feature set, and I'm looking forward to seeing future projects as your skills and ambitions grow further!

Cool set! You've got a serious talent for ambushes and slightly enhanced vanilla combat. Though I thought those two arch-viles in the spaces between the shelves toward the end of Map 02 were kind of....random. Also, I think you may have a softlock on Map 06 if you decide to choose the right path. Other than that, this was quite an improvment, and I actually liked Nukeway Library.

I also just finished this wad, not so bad. Maybe some maps look little empty in some parts. I was thinking that this will be more "techbase stale" wad, Nukeway Enterprieses etc but maps was more in a temple? stale. :)

Thanks! A lot of times throughout this set I definitely struggled to take an idea I had on paper and make it work within the editor, but every time I kind of figured out a solution I could feel myself getting more comfortable with the toolset. It'll be a long time before I try to make another episode-style collection but I already have ideas kicking around for new maps in the future!

They're random because they were a last minute change that I think I forgot to even playtest lol...think I'll spice up that encounter and do some bugfixing in general for other maps since that rad suit softlock isn't the only lingering issue within the levels. Gonna take a look at these demos too, thanks for sharing!

Started with a mix of tech/library ideas but it turns out that I could not get enough of MARBGRAY and MARBLE3 and started dropping skulls anywhere I could stick 'em. 

 

Thanks everyone for playing and for the feedback! I'll be chipping away at some changes and probably release the tweaks in the next week or so.

Just played through the maps. Map 1 & 2 are fine, but the final battle in map 2 could have a bit more health on easy. I like the end of map 3, but I'm not sure about the 'labyrinth' part of it. Map 4's last room is a bit cryptic. Maybe make the light flicker where the player has to do something? In map 5 this Pain Elemental is stuck in the wall (thing 223):

Also I'm not sure if it is intentional that you can 'cheese' cyberdemon by shooting him while he's still trapped. Design wise map 5 is my favorite. Map 6's design is good, but it's also quite barren. Got stuck when searching for the blue key. No idea what to do in that bookcase area. Not a fan of the archvile's in map 7. The second one is fine, the first one needs some cover other than the lift's 'door' (or remove the little raised floor on the left of the lift's exit). Overall pretty fun maps and they show quite a bit of improvement from the first to the last :)

Play the map two. Got a whole bunch of surprise visitors : @sandwedge and @Dub Bag and @MAN_WITH_GUN 

 

Nice little map I especially liked the ending. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to go back and find secrets sad_battlebits_kid.gif 

 

The title of the next map has me interested I will return someday

These are great videos clippy! Having a crowd play over a map I made is so cool, videos like this are really helpful for figuring out what I need to fix and makes me glad that the things I found fun when I was building the level are fun for the player too! 

 

Life got in the way of cleaning up this set, but I hope to soon return to mapping and do all the bugfixing and level designing tweaking that's been bouncing around my head for the last few weeks.

General fix is out now, updated the link in the OP! Unless I find any more bugs to squash, this will be my final revision, and hopefully submitting it to idgames soon.

Cool stuff - this feels like a more polished map - only part I didn't like was when you turned the lights off on me, not my cup of tea to not be able to see, but some ppl like that I guess. Was surprised how high you turned up the volume in that last encounter lol - also please let the player go back, it encourages them to explore and find secrets and stuff - ultimately I had fun - curious to see what awaits

Finished this set - good times - you are ambitious and have some interesting ideas - just got confused here and there by things - but  overall great fun kudos
