I'm not sure what midi I'll be using yet. Follow up question: are there any themes you have in mind, or are we basing this on Doom episode 1 i.e tech bases. Could you also maybe add a list in the OP showing what slots are open or have been taken by what mapper? It would be much appreciated.

Idk about themes but if it's E1 tech only then I'm gonna have to retexture my whole map,

 

The name is a hint to what my map's theme is:

 

 

Doomworld's bugging out so I can't add the WILV file but I'll still put the name in.

Oh, this looks pretty enjoyable as a community project!

Part Deadly Standards, part Pandora, part Memento Moron, i really like this as well as the title chosen! I like to claim E1M5, if possible.

 

Also, a pair of notes for making the life easier for you and us:

  • Put a list with the episode slots in OP with the author names, so people can understand who does what in the project.
  • For better compiling by your part, ask the mappers to use a prefix (example: WAL) if they wants to add a new custom texture, or ask for a link if a external texture wad was used...

You can choose whatever theme, however play the map that comes after yours and add a effect, e.g i have a techbase map i have to add at the end a gate, because the next map is a hell map.

Or add a teleporter that instead of having a destination sector and actor, just has W1 Exit Level lines.

Here's a barebones demo/beta of my map, obviously run it with your copy of DOOMTM or The Ultimate DOOMTM 

 

I joined this because I won't lie about me preferring Doom 1 over Doom 2 due to Doom 2's lacking gameplay, which kinda became a positive when mods came out for it, and Doom 1's combat is pretty darn solid.
