Hmmm this method unfortunately seems beyond me but thanks anyway 😄

CrispyDoom and GZDoom will both recognize the sky-transfer special (special 271) even if the map is built in the regular Doom 2 format:

 

 

 

I do not know whether other limit-removing ports will let this hack work.

 

edit: After clicking Boris's link, turns out this is just exactly that lol. It's really simple, I promise!

Sky transfers should work in at least Zdoom, GZdoom, MBF, Prboom-Plus and probably most other limit removing ports. Certainly will not work in a non limit removing port like Chocolate Doom.
