i did try to update the map,the problem was that i was using cc4tex when i had to useĀ 32in24-15_tex_v2, while they have some similar textures,i believe thats why it caused the problemĀ

Couldn't think of anything to make the entire month, and was busy with lots of work. Finally decided to speedmap a nice tiny gimmick map this evening. 'The Floor is Archie' has just been submitted for your (hopefully) gaming pleasure.

File (version 3. I did one minor update in the morning, followed by adding difficulty levels)

@DavidNĀ It's awesome to see project for mappers of every skill level still happening on a yearly basis. I'll have to give the previous RAMP a shot at one point.

That's all just wanted to say keep up the amazing work everyone, hope your get even more submissions than last year.

we wont, submissions closed at 120 maps this year and last year it closed at 200 (it could have gone over 200 actually but it was decided that 200 was a good round number)

however, this year there was just one month to submit and a max of 3 maps per mapper while last year there was 2 months and no max map amount per mapper

Ā

Haaa, my bad! So, in a sense, you could argue it was even more successful this year. That said 120 maps is still 120 maps so that's a toooon of level.Ā

Fair warning, most of my levels in last years RAMP needed beefy systems and would still take many of your FPS due to their very unique and experimental designs.

Ā 

Basically most of those levels were a case of me not considering performance and not stopping to ask myself: should I really make this level just because I can?

Ā 

This year my levels are still experimental but also far more traditional at the same time.

What an amazing set of maps this year :)Ā I'm tearing my way through fixing any conflicts thatĀ arose from everything being compiled together - Rampart has really been extended by miles this year to allow all sorts of custom stuff and the detection of clashes, and I'll have to make a separate post about it. Pretty soon, I think it'll be in a place where it can at least be called a public beta. In the meantime, the snapshot is always available on the RAMP site linked in the first post!

I already kindly asked David to update my map, since Rampart doesn't seem to be working on my side . The keys were set to different difficulty levels by mistake. I can give you the link to the hopefully fixed version if you want.

Hell i updated it daily! Making it even more obvious! You gotta put the map back in @DavidN, as it was removed on wrongfull reason of being unbeatable when it wasnt

RampMap.zipĀ here is the newest version i uploaded before you removed it. LOOK IN THE EDITOR AND PLAY IT AGAIN! It is possible, add it back

Thanks Mr Killer! I removed it because I thought it was incomplete, I definitely didn't mean to ignore the work you had put in!

I see the problem - the scripts are set to run on map 1, and the level is not map 1 when included in the project! I'll fix that up by setting the map parameter to 0, which means to use the current map.

I just played your map

Ā 

It can be completed but the door to the lost souls room doesnt open so I had to noclip through it

Ā 

The pinkys Should be chainsawed I Guess but its alot of pinkies

Ā 

I like the lumpy floors and ceilings

Ā 

I had to use the map alot

Ā 

The map could need more health and ammo

It does open, if you take the teleporter in the big room with all the archviles (which only activates after pressing all 3 switches). The pinkies simply dies if you walk past them. And yea health and ammo is a huge issue in most of my maps. Im glad you liked it!

Oh and one last thing, do you mind putting it back to the website and sending me pin? i plan on one more update to the map, that being a map to the final area (like a map on the wall you can look at)

Another great RAMP edition I enjoyed contributing to and seeing what other people have done, happy beta day everyone! *\O/*

Already scratched the surface playing some of the maps, will scratch further in the days to come!
