Scorpion - A collection of Boom-compatible slaughter/gimmick speed(ish)maps

Made MAP07 today! An artful combination of two of my favorite colors, comprising a monster count and composition that lends the map its name (which I'll refrain from spoiling). Exiting this map involves solving a puzzle which, while deceptively simple in its implementation, is honestly one of my proudest Doom-related creations.

MAP08-10 have been made, as well as a MAP31. With these additions, Scorpion has seen a small expansion to its gameplay offerings, as two of them in particular have lesser monster counts while employing non-slaughter gameplay gimmicks. MAP10 is even almost entirely monsterless! Screenshots of the new maps are in the spoiler below.

MAP11-13 are done. Only 2 or 3 more maps and then I can get around to compiling the set, playtesting and tweaking things where needed. Chances are moderately high that Scorpion will be out tomorrow, or even later today if I can expend the energy. Look forward to it!

Happy to announce that Scorpion has been released! The final map roster has in all 17 maps - 16 in normal progression as well as a secret one. Download link is in the OP.

 

EDIT: Quick hotfix to fix a missing flat in MAP06 and the intermission screen showing the wrong map title for MAP31. Might take a few minutes for the link to update.

One more minor update to clear out the intermission text screens for ports that support UMAPINFO. Same download link - might take a minute or two for it to update, though.
