so i ended up copying sky across sky 1 2 and 3... not amazing but it didn't work ether... and i can't open the textures editor in slade 3 without it crashing

you need to create patch table first. Only then you can open texture editor. I suggest using this tutorial:

Also, open up my .wad file that I ave in the posts above and see how the textures are arranged there. 

also, remember to delete duplicates.

ok got it to work

i had to add SKY1 & SKY2 & SKY3 at the end of the patch table, AND rename SKY1 & SKY2 & SKY3 from the og d1 textures textuers pack

here is a custom version of d1 textures texture pack:   d1gfxd2.7z

 

also PRBoom+ had game speed set to 70 for no F*cking i have HATED prboom FOR SO LONG because "it's slow.. SO SLOW" but no it's just me... god dammit

so get this... i have prboom [normal] on my 3DS and then this map i made is prboom+ compatible... so...

this works because i can load 2 wad files in prboom 3DS so i haven't used d1 textures and that means i can run this on a 3DS.

not even a new nintendo 3DS! just some cool thing i thought someone may get a kick out of

I think i need to scale down my castle level. it's almost complete, but adding anything more will most likely ruin the map at this point. So time to start the deletion proccess.

 

Still need an exit, I have an idea for that in mind.

 

I think my map is close to ready. all i need now is putting down the gameplay, for the fourth time. and then I should be done with it.

 

 

I recolored some nukeedge textures, feel free to use them.

I came across your thread, downloaded the textures and experimented with them. Looks like I have a map in the works now.

 

If that slot is still free, I'll take it.

 

Many textures are actually flats (like the manhole cover), which is a little annoying, because Boom can't use them like that. I guess some of these textures were supposed to be used for ZDoom maps, but I'll still be able to work with it. Here's what I've come up with so far:

Hey, you can duplicate the flats and then rename them, then add them between PP_START and PP_END markers to use as textures. Just make sure to add them to texturex and pnames patches as well.

 

Slade 3 texture tutorial if you need it. But basically i've put some flats as textures, so I can use them as textures. Other than that, this map looks really good.
