A new Doom podcast: The WadaCast

The Wadazine now has its own cool podcast: the WadaCast!

 

 

This is the very first time I try anything like this and it's quite the exciting project. This podcast is meant to discuss anything and everything related to the wonders of this fantastic saga and it's near 3 decades of amazing official and community content. In this pilot episode, I explain the gist of it and how it's going to work.

 

Apologies for my English and accent, it is also the first time I talk in English like this.

 

If you guys have ideas, tips, recommendations and comments, please, leave them below se we can read them, and if you'd like to participate with your own cool Doom stories, do say so! I'd love to have a chat with you doomers :)

I don't listen to podcasts often, but this seems to be the perfect podcast to listen to while mapping for or playing Doom! Subscribed.

In the meantime while the WadaCast is produced, I highly recommend listening to Doom Radio.

You're always posting thoughtful content for the community, Endless, so I've got a lot of faith in this project!

 

No need to apologise for your accent. Your English is easy to understand, but you definitely sound a little nervous and like you're rushing - understandable if this is your first rodeo - so just take it a little slower. As someone who definitely wouldn't feel confident doing this in their second language, I thought you did a grand job :3

 

As for audio quality, maybe people with a little more recording experience can help you with stuff like pops and clicks, and plosives coming out too strong? It's not a problem with your way of speaking - I think these are common mistakes that anybody makes when they first record, because you're just talking naturally, and don't pick it up until you edit it/post it.

 

The only other knock against it is that the intro is way too long; although I adored the death sound as a cue to wrap it up (watch the volume level!).

 

Looking forward to seeing the first proper episode!

It's going to be quite the awesome ride. Hope I can offer the community some quality pods :) and thanks for the kind words and feedback, appreciate it! Speaking fast is a rl issue of mine, but I'm sure I'll fix it with the podcast, relatively quick heh :P
