UAC Fortress

Recommended Posts

Just finished up another map for Doom 2. Instead of basing it on a D&D map like the last two, I used the map of Hyrule Castle from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and I think it worked out really well! Hope you guys enjoy it! (and please rate it on moddb if you don't mind)

Map Format: Doom 2 UDMF

Port: GZDoom (I made frequent use of slopes, 3d floors, etc..., no crouching or jumping required)

One level (Map01) - should be about 7-9 minutes of gameplay

Hehe boi, a fortress instance that's not a tf2 reference

lol, didn't even think about that when I named it. I was just thinking of generic sounding names like Facility, etc...

Have you played it? If so, what'd you think?

Did a play through of it for you. All i really got to say is it was fun but i kinda ran out of ammo at the end, you'll see when watching the video.

Wow, glad I added more ammo just before releasing it! There were a couple ammo drops you missed that could have made it easier, but you got the majority of it.

Why is it not working? In DSDA luncher

You need to run it in GZDoom, or at least ZDoom. Boom-based ports won't run it.

I loved it, I actually think the whole 'low ammo' thing worked to the map's advantage. Makes you actually feel in danger. Seriously, near the end I got REAL nervous. I was out of ammo, and a whole lot more enemy appeared. Thank god for the extra seargants, because I would be cooked steak. My winning time was 7:16, this a big map.
