what do you think is the most creepy doom sprite

Not really Vanilla but the Flesh Wizard creeps me out, however in the base game the only one that i think is creepy is the corpses with pipes running through them in doom 2

I always thought that the skin and flesh textures are creepy. At first site they just look like pretty normal walls, nothing really creepy, but just the thought itself of them being entire walls made of just skin is creepy. As a kid I also thought that the marble faces were a bit unnerving, not so much anymore though.

That‘s because she feels with the protagonist and doesn‘t want him to get hurt. For the same reason children don‘t find it unsettling when all kinds of cruel things happen to the evil characters in fairy tales, as long as the hero/heroine gets a happy ending everything is fine.

That's a really interesting thought! I've never seen it as particularly gory compared to a lot of other stuff in the game (my colourblindness might help here? He just looks a bit beaten up) but seeing the main character die messily is very unusual for her. I remember being similarly scared of the little death animations from Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion!

Sometimes children just get creeped out by random visuals. There are lots of harmless things I found viscerally disturbing as a kid that look fine now. The ouch face was one.
