Scavenger's dumb 90's shovel ware wad (5 new radical badass maps!)

So recently i've been playing so really corky and dumb 90's shovel ware wads from maximum doom (i will link the post to the wad that was made by Asbadagba, and i want to thank them for taking the time to go through all the shovel ware wads of the 90's), it got me thinking "What if i made a dumb little shovel ware wad and make it look like it belongs in the bargain bin of a local cacodemon shop"? well i present to you *drum roll* my take on a shovel ware wad called.... "Scavenger's dumb 90's wad". Clever i know. 

 

I was going to do a joke at first and brag how this was the coolest wad you've ever play and it's so badass, but then i would told you that "it's a joke wad". But i decided to just flat out say it's a joke wad, it's supposed to be trash on purpose since like i said before it's base off of 90's shovel ware doom 2 wads and i was bored as shit. 

 

So with out future a due: I present to you my shovel ware doom 2 wad, and remember this is a joke wad, i'm poking fun at shovel ware wads. i would love to see videos or comments on how dumb this is, i was just bored and wanted to see if i can make something dumb but fun at the same time. 

 

Edit: I did say there was going to be one more map.....well i lied and i went all in and made 4 more plus two secret maps. I also made a back stories for each of them. Now this will be the last time i do anything with this, just wanted to flex my mapping skills and also blow off stream since i've been busy working on a Map02 for my Plutoina wad. Anyways there it is and i hope you enjoy it and please do read the read me file before playing the wad. If you are a Youtuber and make a video on this, i only have one thing to ask of you: Give me a shoutout and also tell me how horrible i mean "great" they are. Source port: GZDoom (It's the only one i use for play testing and playing wads)

 

Numbers of map(s): Map 01- Map10 (Just added 5 more maps to the set with map 31 and 32 still in).

 

Build time: First batch of maps: Two weeks. Second batch of maps: 3 days.

 

New Enemies: Nope

 

New Music: Just some Doom 1 and Doom 2 music. For the new 5 maps added i put in NIN and SODA midis from Doomkid.

 

New Textures: Stock Doom 2 texture

 

Bugs: It's shovel ware of chores there will be bugs, lots and lots of bugs.

With that all said have fun with this pile of shovel ware trash i made and hopefully it makes you laugh or smile or question why i went through with this dumb idea. 

 

And before asking, no there's no screen shots because i'm too lazy to take some and this is just a dumb wad i made in a week.

Three months of non activity on this and yes i am bumping this thread just to release 5 new very awesome very (trashy) maps i made while taking a break from working on my Doom 1 ep 1 replacement wad. With that said and done here is the final version of my dumb Doom 2 shovel ware style wads. I will also be putting maps in a google drive for now on. Here's the link to the wad:

So i want to give everyone a heads up that there is another map coming for this, i am working on a map02 map called "Oh dear god why". It will be more dumber and funiner as the last. Making shovel ware doom wads are kinda fun not going to lie lol. 

 

So yes expect another great fun map coming after map01. 

 

Note: This is for shits and giggles, i made the first one to poke fun at crappy wads from the 90's, not saying all shovel ware wads we're bad, just saying they we're not good at times. Map 02 is in the works as we speak so expect an update to the OP at some point. Again this is just for shits and giggles and there meant to be joke wads not actual good maps.
