Abyssal Speedmapping Session 67 - The End Approacheth...

The time is 23th of July at 2pm EST, the place is the ASScord! I'll link to the server before things kick off and a second round will be held 12 hours after the first to account for timezones and such.

 

As for the announcement that I alluded to last month: after September, the Abyssal Speedmapping Sessions will finally be coming to an end. It's been a damn good run and I'm thankful to everyone that has had a hand in keeping the sessions alive over the years, but unfortunately I have personal obligations that must take precedent and I think it'd be best to end things here (or, well, in a couple of months) on my terms. I want to specifically thank @TMD and @Fuzzball for all the work they've done for the Abyssal Speedmapping Sessions over the years and express some more general gratitude to everyone who's contributed maps to the over 60(!) sessions that have been held since the end of 2013: thanks everybody. :)

 

We've still got a few more sessions before the end though! Remember, 23rd at 2pm EST!

Yep! There'll be crossposting to Doomworld once it starts happening as well, so if you don't use Discord you can still join in on the mapping.

Damn. I loved ASS, I feel like the speedmaps I did for 26 and 27 were my first more proper foray into the community. I'll sure be joining for this one and potentially the others up to September, both sessions, even if it means waking up at an unnatural time. Thank you guys for these sessions, there's probably much more mappers out there who first got involved in these exact sessions.

It's sad to see this go. I was hoping to one day make a map for this once I'm skilled enough. Hopefully another kind soul makes an ASS spiritual successor of sorts …

I'd encourage you to take part regardless, it's a very friendly environment (especially on discord) and open to all levels of mapping skill, including close to none.

Yeah, we had someone else miss the session this month as well. I'll be putting a timer in the OP for next month's thread to hopefully alleviate that problem for some folks.
