rkric258 Posted July 20, 2022 Currently, I'm looking for a suggestion to purchase my gaming laptop. I have already checked out some good devices from Asus and Lenovo, but I'm in confusion about which one should I take. I couldn't decide yet because I don't have enough knowledge in this area. Below I have included what specs should have on my new laptop and the game lists, Which I want to play without frame dropping or other issues. Please check and suggest to me the best one Spec's Requirements: Processor: Core i7, i9 or Ryzen 7, 9 Display: FHD / OLED Storage: At least 1 TB RAM: At least 16 GB Graphics: Nvidia GeForce RTX3050TI at least Game lists: World War GTA 5 FIFA 22 Ever Quest The Witcher 3 Dying Light Hitman 3 half-life alyx Is this site providing Zephyrus g14 legal price, caused I have faced some issues on price with our country reseller, they're asking too much price than the official price. Should take from here, I am also seeking this advice https://mcsolution.com.bd/laptop/asus/rog-zephyrus/g14/ Hope I will receive my best suggestions from doomworld community. Thanks in advance 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
DuckReconMajor Posted July 20, 2022 I am guessing that is Bangladeshi Taka? All I can do is plug those into the google currency converter, 219500 seems to be $2338.96 USD Best Buy over here seems to be offering that laptop with a Ryzen 9 for $1,649.99 USD which seems to be 154843.73 BDT link maybe it's a different model but it seemed to be the same except Ryzen 9 instead of 7 I think ASUS comes out with good laptops usually but I am no expert on gaming laptops at all. There's usually so much variance on how manufacturers assemble their components it seems all you can do most of the time is try to find a bunch of reviews for each specific one, or just kind of go in blind with a decent brand like ASUS and hope returns/customer service is good. Also as a side note if you're running Half Life Alyx or any other demanding VR title on a laptop, be prepared for it to get really hot. Though there might be a way to underclock things to prevent that as Alyx seems to be good at ramping down on its own when performance issues arise. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Murdoch Posted July 21, 2022 (edited) Asus are generally pretty robust. Lenovo can be very hit and miss build quality wise. Just be sure to check reviews online and make sure you genuinely need a laptop. Towers typically last longer, can be changed, and are cheaper to fix. Only get a laptop if you really need a compact and/or portable solution. Edited July 21, 2022 by Murdoch 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

leejacksonaudio Posted July 21, 2022 Consider custom systems from Sager. I bought one - a 10th generation i9-10850K, about a year or so ago, when 11th generation was barely the top - and it's done me yeoman service as a music writing machine. I've tried it out on some game situations, and it's done well. Their web site is a bit blingy, but peel back the outer veneer and you'll find some good, well-customizable laptops to be had. Give 'em a shot. https://www.sagernotebook.com/home.php 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
HavoX Posted July 21, 2022 (edited) Speaking of custom, I remember back when they they made DIY gaming laptops that you can assemble yourself like you would like a custom PC. Unless I'm mistaken, they don't seem to be around anymore... Edited July 21, 2022 by HavoX 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Unless I'm mistaken, they don't seem to be around anymore... They don't, because that's really hard to do at mass volume. Laptops are all about being fairly fixed platforms. The CPUs are soldered, and usually the only user upgradeability is RAM, an M.2, and maybe a hard drive bay. Even stuff like MXM GPUs are pretty darn rare. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
