I once had a dream that I was given the task of assassinating Idi Amin. I went to chill with him by his pool, where he was naked except for his army cap. At some point I slapped a wad of plastic explosive on the pool rim in front of him and set it off, only to find it did no harm to us or the pool. After a long awkward silence of him smiling at me, he started to chase me around the pool like we were in a Tom and Jerry cartoon. Finally, I began to swim breast-stroke straight into the sky, with Amin methodically swimming after me. I woke up around this point, I don’t know if I escaped from him or not

Last night I dreamed I was in a room full of elfish creatures shaped like letters, except they weren't letters from the alphabet. They would transform into entirely different letters and colors about 10-15 times per second, and they would make language sounds unlike any language I have ever heard. Then I woke up and saw various shapes continue to flash rapidly inside my eyelids.

Hate when I don't get that cathartic ending! I'm on the edge of my seat and now I'll never know if you escaped.

That's a bummer, I've had some cool map ideas in dreams and some of them I've even tried to implement, at some level, in actual maps--although many of my dream maps are enormous beyond what I feel like trying to do at this point.  Not to say I haven't made enormous maps before, of course.

 

Then again, many of the "good" ideas I have in dreams, whether for maps or anything else, turn out to make no sense at all when I wake up.  I remember once dreaming up a really really funny joke, only to realize that it was only funny if you live in a reality where animals always hide under phone books during lightning storms.  No, I don't remember the joke at all anymore.

Probably the weirdest dream I've ever had was one where I was an alligator, just sitting down somewhere in flordia and eating animals that got too close. I got tagged by some assholes and dragged to a zoo after a while, it was a very strange dream, to me at least.

Random stuff, but sometimes some situations happens in same port city. The city itself has no solid layout but some dreams happening in different parts of it. No solid grasp of places but it's unmistakable THE city from previous dreams. Night near the church, ship in the bay near the port etc. Probably my subconsciousness created its place based on the city i live in, but its having this Silent hillish, source half-life foggy coastal maps vibe.

last night i dreamt my family and i were at a pool, but it was raining slightly, very cloudy. the pool was very crowded, and everyone was eating ice cream except for me and my brother. Jimmy Kimmel was the lifeguard.

My dreams are usually very disconnected, every scene has less to do with the previous one. Characters constantly change name, voice and appearence (sometimes extremely fast right in front of me), and the setting has very little to no storyline. Those are 95% of them.

 

The other 5% are either very cool, or very frightening. One that comes to mind right now involved me and my childhood friends in a parking lot we used to play at. "Ok time for hide n' seek" says one of them, but in this version of the game, you instead had to hide from a weird being, it resembled the Sun with a face, it stared right at you with no emotion. I think the kids refered to it as "the planet", but I'm not sure. The planet would chase you if it saw you, and it was extremely fast. It floated ominously and could clip through walls, everyone was extremely terrified of it. When it saw me, I tried running but (classic) my limbs felt like they weighted thousands of pounds. An ominous, buzzing sound got louder and louder behind me, as I tried and tried to run, until I suddenly woke up with a jump.

 

Anyway, sorry for the long post. The 5% dreams usually stay with me forever.

I just woke up from a nap cause by excessive heat, and dreamt I was chasing a small dog on an abandoned spaceship and could change the material that the ship was made of by shouting the name of the material. I first shouted "Metal!" and the dog slid around the smooth metal surface, then I yelled "Puppy!" and all the surfaces on the ship grew fur and sprouted paws, and the dog jumped into a vent as I chased after it. This led to me having to tightly move around people tied to gurneys attached to conveyor belts rolling through narrow hallways surrounded by more vents, and every vent led into small rooms occupied by sewer mutants who would look at me like I was disturbing their privacy.

 

I often dream of being in space, on spaceships, jumping off of planets into space, or inside space stations. Fairly recently I dreamt I was in a tiny pod floating in an unknown empty void of space, occasionally seeing novas and weird phenomena happening in the distance. I was able to transport a holographic version of myself back to Earth, but only into the past. So I went to the past on Earth and said goodbye to everyone I knew and then was teleported back into the pod, and it was kind of lonely and claustrophobic.

A buncha stuff. Some of it seems to be throwback to very old dreams, but others are original in that aspect.

 

My last dream involved me breaking into a very large flying saucer, by exploding a bit from its top section off with a literal thermonuclear nuke, then dropping into the hole, sliding down some windy tunnels, till I end up in a narrow prison cell sort of room, which I escape through the ventilation to get in some rooms and corridors.

 

I don't remember seeing any aliens when I got in these rooms, but one of them had a functionality where it'd automatically switch from being a study room, to a ping pong & entertainment room, to an arcade, to a living room, and whatnot. It was probably in demo mode, cycling between those modes one at a time, and depicting the activities with holograms of aliens.

I used to have abstract and bizarre dreams but I can remember most of them well, that is until recently, my sleeps are dreamless or at the least I cannot remember them, I think it might be a lack of sleep or general fatigue causing this (or maybe not?).

 

I used to write my dreams down, why not afterall, but that book hasn't been touched in months.

I had a dream that I was on Wheel of Fortune playing against a guy named Pat. Pat Sajak commented on the fact that they were born together and share the same name, and sometimes the same body. The board lit up and I was trying to solve the puzzle, but my blood was powering the board and I couldn't produce enough power so all the electricity in Dallas went out. Anyway, every single time Pat Sajak's name was used, the other Pat would yell out "Jack!!!". Apparently, he thought people were saying "Pat, say Jack". Really weird. Anyway, the answer to the puzzle was "U M B I B L I C A L  T A C O", but I didn't win because I was using dice instead of spinning the wheel. Eventually Pat and Pat rejoined into one body, sweating profusely into a bucket with a tube in it. I realized I was on TV naked and tried to run away to another channel.

I had a dream where I was using the DukeEd DNF2001 Editor and some piece of ransomeware showed up and told me to fill in the blanks in order to get my PC back. However, instead of credit card info and all that stuff, it was the tags to the player and some triggers inside DukeEd. I filled in the blanks thinking nothing would happen. Dream literally ends with someone hacking into my PC and proceeds to change the password and shut my PC down.

 

I am still very confused with that dream.
