The game you want to make/be made, that can't

I don't think everyone should have to learn to code. But at the same time, I don't think people are born different.

This, on top of the rest of your post, is extremely ignorant. I was born disabled. I'm automatically "different" from everyone else.

Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament with Skins and Models :>

You can have Sailor Moon, Pikachu, Agent Smith and Bender fight each other in a Lego Arena.

That is true!

But that's what equity is for — so everyone can have equal opportunities no matter what predicaments they're born with! Sadly it hasn't been achieved with, but still.

I was talking about mental faculties, though. There are of course still disabilities there, like Down syndrome. But we're working on treatments for those.

(If you're referring to ADHD, I don't think ADHD is a disability. That would fluster me, because I have ADHD, and I'm good at things.)

You're not "different", though. You have different predispositions. Usually being bad at something is counterbalanced by being good at something else.

Ah yes, United States: Free Trial Edition!

Redneck Rampage: The Next Generation

It would really be interesting how such a setting would look with modern render tech.

With modern rednecks? What would that even be like?

I'll thank you to not patronize me. You have so badly missed the point -- and the fact that you don't think ADHD (i.e. a form of neurodivergence) is a disability when even notoriously stingy Social Security does says a lot about how you view disability. I don't think we have anything further to discuss.

On topic: I've wanted this for years, an idTech 1 FPS with a Mad Max-esque desert apocalypse setting. Not too far off a demake of RAGE if you stripped out the world traversal, vehicles, upgrades/crafting, basically anything that isn't good oldschool shooting. Preferably with vanilla detail limits and resolution because apparently all I want is RAGE 1994.

And yeah, I probably *could* make this a thing. But, I'm so very busy with some other project right now...

Ashes 2063 and Ashes Afterglow might be of interest, specifically the Sterilized editions.

Talking about Diablo III in another thread made me wish I could make more expansions for that game - ideally on a build that does not require to be always online! I would also make that Ellie-centric Dead Space 4 (where she navigates her way back to Earth) happen.

I would love to see a rerelease of the original Castle Wolfenstein and Beyond Castle Wolfenstein, the Wolfenstein games that came out before Id’s Wolfenstein 3D. These two games have never been rereleased or ported since the 80s and it’s a shame. I don’t see it ever happening though, and it would very much likely require rebuilding the games from the ground up because the source files are likely long gone.

A new FPS in the style of the original Unreal.

I still haven't played Unreal. Is it worth trying today?

To answer the post, I'd love a continuation of Half-Life: Opposing Forces. Adrian Shepard is a really cool protagonist and I love the arsenal he gets.

Even if the source existed it would be next to useless.

My dream 'game' would be the Dream Software that Ross Scott puts it better than I ever could (embedded video starts at the laconic version, the full version can be seen by watching the entire video before that):

It absolutely is. One of the more unique FPS games out there, largely thanks to it atmosphere.

Be warned that it can be quite difficult due to the quirky arsenal and bestiary. Also, the level design early on is quite sadistic at times.

Wolfenstein 3D sequel, but set during after WW2 in Argentina.

Have you tried Operation Serpent? It is not set in Argentina, but otherwise, it might be what you are looking for.

This would be a neat idea for a RTCW mod now that I think of it.
