Rating classic DOOM maps by difficulty?

How would you rank all 68 classic DOOM maps (from DOOM, Ultimate DOOM, and DOOM II) in terms of difficulty progression?  I'm trying to figure out what aspects of DOOM level design people find most difficult in order to attempt to make an algorithm that can estimate the difficulty of a given map, but I need data of how people rank maps relative to each other in order to do that.  (Mind you, I don't even know if it's possible, it's just a silly pet project.)  But in any case, I've been unable to find people ranking classic map difficulty anywhere online and thought it'd be worth starting a thread myself.

Hello there! There’s this thread that got popular somewhat recently but google results weren’t too in bringing it up. It’s mainly one player’s opinion on difficulty with others providing input:

 

If it’s just us looking at Doom, Doom 2, and Ultimate, I might be inclined to say 1 is just behind in difficulty with 2 while Ultimate is harder than both. Sadly, I have not replayed 1 and 2 anytime recently to appropriately compare their difficulty.

MtPain27 has reviewed all of 4 IWADs and given every map a difficulty rating. However not a ranking, somewhat does the job, though.

Nice!  A full ranking of maps would be more useful but this is a good starting point.  In terms of whole wads, though, the consensus is pretty clear, that DOOM > DOOM II > TNT > Plutonia, but I'm more interested in specific map rankings than whole wads.  Of course, the ranking of whole mapsets would clearly emerge from it, so it doesn't matter anyways.  In any case, if you or anyone else have their own rankings to compare to these I'd be glad to see those as well.
