DOOM's alpha Unmaker

Why did Id software remove the unmaker from DOOM?

Because if you didn't know,

DOOM 64 and Eternal's Unmaker were 

actually inspired by the unused Unmaker from DOOM's alpha versions.

 

But I don't understand why Id removed it.

It looked somewhat like this:

Actually Doom 64’s Unmaker was just the Alien Laser and was not in any way inspired by the Unmaker.

 

As for why they cut it, they cut almost everything in that design document.
