Ani Posted August 1, 2022 I went shopping with my folks earlier today and as I was finding some stuff I wanted for my upcoming birthday this week, I found this special gem, along with other games of my interest. I know ya'll talked about it somewhere around this forum but I'm thinking about collecting more of these bizzare multiwad discs as relics of my game collection, maybe make a YT series out of em...? 44 Quote Share this post Link to post
Sonikkumania Posted August 1, 2022 It's so hot and rad, even the cover tells so. But nice find really. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post

Stupid Bunny Posted August 1, 2022 Wow 666 maps on CD-ROM and all of them are undoubtedly amazing 5 hours ago, Ani said: maybe make a YT series out of em...? I would love to at least see some highlights! Wonder if there's anything on there that hasn't made it onto the archives yet (or conversely anything that all of us are familiar with already) 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
thiccyosh Posted August 1, 2022 This is so cool! Can you dump all the wads inside in a zip? I really want to expand my shovelware collection 7 Quote Share this post Link to post

Doomkid Posted August 1, 2022 Excellent find! I was looking through all the cheapest Doom CD-ROMs I could find on eBay and snagged this little gem for about 10 bucks. If anyone wants to download the CD, here's the archive.org page: https://archive.org/details/demon-gate Direct link: https://archive.org/download/demon-gate/Demon Gate.iso 10 Quote Share this post Link to post
out_of_service Posted August 1, 2022 Awesome possum! Back in the 90's when I was a kid me, my brother, and sister, were browsing a computer shop at the mall when I found that exact Demon Gate 666 shovelware disc in the bargain bin. It's a treasured item among my gaming collection that I still have to this very day. Lately I've found myself playing through a lot of the levels on that disc. I have so many good memories, early 90's Doom maps are my favourite. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
Rudolph Posted August 1, 2022 I hate how cool (in a cheesy 90s way) the cover is. I get that it is the point, i.e. to sell an otherwise crappy product, but still, what a waste. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Ani Posted August 1, 2022 7 hours ago, Miska McCoy said: Yes, I actually gave 5 wads a try on GZDoom because whatever software the CD had could not run on my Windows 11. I'll be drawing a line for each wad I beat which will take a long while to complete em all. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

SirPootis Posted August 2, 2022 Great find! Gonna try to play through all the levels and see how jank this levelset is. First Impression: Just played through 1_ON_1.WAD, the first wad listed in WADS1 folder. It has 64-tight hallways and Star Wars MIDI music. Oh boy, strap yourselves in for this pack 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
