Lizardcommando Posted August 4, 2022 https://mcfarlane.com/toys/doom-slayer-classic-doomguy-skin/ What makes me really sad is that not only was this a McFarlane toys website exclusive figure, but that it was never advertised on the official Doom instagram page. All I ever wanted was a legit Classic version Doomguy figure. I really hope this gets a second run. 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
Plashe Posted August 4, 2022 Found another one using the same model, I'd like to get this one over that McFarlane one If there are two with this model then hopefully they'll make a new one with the same model because it looks cool 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Ludi Posted August 4, 2022 This is sick as shit. Thanks for bringing it to our attention! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
StalkerBlade Posted August 6, 2022 I made an order as soon as it went up for pre-order a few months back and it sold out just a few days after that.. hopefully that will tell Mcfarlane to do a restock since it was such a demanded figure for so long. Mine actually came in this morning. It's a pretty cool figure, but there's a bit to be desired...The articulation is pretty limited and some of the colors feel inaccurate, like the boots being a greenish color instead of a dark metallic gray, the gloves also being green and not black, and the helmet being almost a chrome color instead of a dark metallic gray as well. That aside, its a nice figure. I plan on heavily customizing mine to look closer to the original cover art and after looking over it and taking the figure apart, it's almost like they encouraged customization because some of the armor parts are completely separate pieces that can come off. If the customizing is as smooth as it looks, I might even make zombieman, shotgun guy and chaingunner variants if they do a re-release lol. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
TheUltimateDoomer666 Posted August 6, 2022 I also ordered it as soon as it became available, although I haven't received it yet as I'm in Australia. I also ordered the Astro Slayer variant, as it comes with the Crucible Sword. The Astro figure is exclusive to BigBadToyStore and is due to ship in October. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

I wonder if this means the joints are as stiff as the ones on the OG Doom Slayer figure. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gougaru Posted August 6, 2022 I have a few sites I use and the classic figure is still very much available 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I didn't get the first figure for that reason, but this one appears to be slightly better. Here it is standing next to my custom 40K Black Templar: That's actually as far as it's legs can bend...I have no idea why they wanted to give it single jointed legs and arms. I'm going to replace them with better ones along with some cloth pants once I start working on customizing it. It can still look pretty neat just standing in a neutral pose though: 6 Quote Share this post Link to post
Wyrmwood Posted August 7, 2022 It's a really cool model, think I'd have to break out the model paints though, upper Armour looks very flat, be a lot better with an ink wash and some dry brushing. Probably mod the SSG to look closer to the original too, that's the Eternal one. @StalkerBlade that Space Marines fucking awesome by way. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
StalkerBlade Posted December 2, 2022 Amazon is currently selling these for retail price right now. If anyone’s still interested in getting one of these for a good price nows the time. It’s the UK stock, so it might take a little bit to get to you if you’re outside of the UK. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Metal_Slayer Posted December 2, 2022 This is the Doom Eternal Classic Doomguy skin, but I know GoodSmile is making a figure based on the original box art 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I am afraid of breaking his fingers, they seem pretty stiff :> 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
