Bleeding Through - single map (5-10 min playtime)

Looking for feedback on my first map. A short single map wad.
Want constructive feedback so i can improve the map, and my mapping skills.

I spent a lot of time the past two weeks learning how to use Ultimate Doom Builder and making this map.
If I'm going to critique it myself I'd say it's too cramped at times and lack room size variety (a bit Doom3-ish).

Anyway, I'm happy if you play it and share your thoughts.

Playtime 5-10 min
Only ultra-violent (for now)
Tested with GZDOOM
Format: UDMF
IWAD: DOOM 2
Jumping or crouching = NO
Freelook optional

This is very impressive for a newbie with only two weeks of mapping experience. You've clearly got a knack for it, mate. Well done indeed. Lovely detailing, design, Doomcute and general imagination. I'd love to see more from you. :^)

Hey thanks!
I really appreciate seeing someone play the map - a valuable resource to improve the map. Wish i could have seen your first playthrough tho! :P Next map maybe :)

The sniping Cyberdemon is mostly used as a prop to explain the hole in the building. Environmental storytelling kind of thing haha.
Last room needs tweaking. To many resources for that amount of enemies, definitely.

I'll tweak the map after I've made some others. I'll leave it on the shelf for a while and gain some more experience and then come back to it. I think it will benefit from it.

Things that will change in a future update:
I'll expand on the map, and also change some of what is there make it feel fresh playing it again.
Will add original music for it.

Doom II _"Bleeding_Through_v0.5.wad" - MAP01 : "Bleeding Through by Zirbiss" _ UVMax 100% Speedrun Smooth Mod Pistol Start.

 

Because of the remaining Cyberdemons, i was obliged to use 'kill monsters' console code to get 100% kills. Other than that, a really well done and nice map.

I really like how it goes for that sort of Doom 3/cum future FPS thing of putting you into an entrance room right away that has crates for some reason. But the amount of atmosphere increases as the blood increases.
