Roofi Posted August 8, 2022 (edited) Hello ! I just want to share one of my maps I made months ago. It was supposed to be a part of a project but I didn't have the motivation to continue it, so I prefer to release it as it is , instead of keeping on my hard-drive. Little story : Demons invaded a bungalow of yours and your friends. Get them out ! Some custom resources were used : - A new sky I took from CAESAR.WAD - a new weapon pick-up sound commonly used in some old DM wads - the music is a midi rendition of "About a girl" by Nirvana. I tested my map on DOSBOX, there should be no VPO but I let you contradict me if it's not true. I recommand 1-2 saves. There are few toughs traps. Have fun ! That saw blade is very clever hehe Thanks for your video ! After watching it , some thoughts : - This level was designed without SSG but I think I will eventually add one. Some encounters felt too grindy with the shotgun. - I think I will lower a bit the difficulty of the tougher fights, maybe by adding health or rockets. - This level wasn't designed for jumping, it's a vanilla map. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

I wasn't sure what to expect, because I thought maybe this was based on a real bungalow or something, and sometimes those don't turn out well. But obviously you're a very skilled mapper because you made a realistic feeling location actually very fun from a gameplay perspective. The doomcute and the way you constructed stuff like a roof made of Icon of Sin textures was really nice to look at. Some nice spicy challenges in there too. Excellent work! Roofi Posted August 11, 2022 (edited) V2 is here ! - I added few SSG in the map in order to speed up the process - Added new SSG sounds coming from Pandora project led by GIBBON - Removed few monsters which were a bit too much for me. - some minor texture fixes.
