RetroWolf92 Posted August 22, 2022 Is there a way to interpolate Doom 3 to run at more than 60 frames a second? Ideally since my monitor is 144FPS that's the target I am going for. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Breadbunbun Posted August 22, 2022 Unfortunately the only real way to get Doom 3 to run at higher framerates without making the game play improperly is to play BFG edition. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
BonciuADV Posted August 22, 2022 Not even the BFG Edition can run properly at high FPS, game tics are still tied to the framerate. Of course, you wouldn't notice a real difference at say 75fps instead of 60 (which you can modify with RivaTuner) apart from the firing speed of the chaingun. This video speaks for itself: 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

This video speaks for itself: No, BFG edition does actually run at 120hz/fps. This was changed for the support of 3D displays and VR. However nothing was changed about the game logic behaviour so it's either 60 or 120hz still. Running it at "2000FPS" by force without recompiling the timers just accelerates things.
