Lobo Posted August 29, 2022 To coincide with the release of EDGE-Classic v1.2 I've set up a ModDB page where I have uploaded a selection of EDGE mods, both old and new to accompany it. Some highlights: Aliens: Stranded Arctic Wolf: Revisited Astral Pathfinder QDoom Duke it out in Doom 3.0 D64ified Immoral Conduct Doom Belmondo .... Some screenshots: 6 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lobo Posted August 30, 2022 If anyone has got any favorite that's not there, post here and I'll see about adding it. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
camper Posted April 5, 2023 Started studying. Actually, I started playing in edge quite a long time ago, and not in zdoom. Are jumps and crouches disabled in arctic wolf? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lobo Posted April 6, 2023 Possibly, since the original mapset was not intended to be played that way. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
camper Posted April 8, 2023 The new arctic wolf is amazing. Although earlier this game passed by my attention. Please tell me, is an actor or "clips" used for collisions with a 3D model, like it is done in a cubeengine/assaultcube? 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lobo Posted April 8, 2023 If I recall correctly, just went with putting blocking lines around the truck, or maybe it was a 3d floor. I don't remember offhand, maybe CJ wil chime in. In EDGE mobj collision is still the old doom way with a radius and height marking the boundaries, so not good for a rectangular shape object. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
taufan99 Posted April 9, 2023 Chutzcraft's EDGE 64 (formerly 3DGE 64). In development since 2015, this mod contains an original mapset based on D64. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lobo Posted April 9, 2023 (edited) EDGE64 is awesome indeed! Played several betas and had a blast. I didn't include it because Chutzcraft is still working on it and the beta versions he releases are time-limited downloads. But when it goes gold, it will be added for sure. In the meantime you can try Astral Pathfinder by the same author. Edited April 9, 2023 by Lobo 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Can't really take all the credit though as it is based on a legacy mod, I just kind of updated it. With the 3d model it is blocking lines. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

The blocking lines seem to me to be very similar to the clips from the cubeengine (it's also 2.5D): https://assault.cubers.net/docs/mapediting3.html#clips Can they be used to enrich the map and add, for example, stairs and platforms similar to the screenshots below? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lobo Posted April 9, 2023 Well EDGE-Classic has 3D floors so you can have platforms and steps you can walk over or under. Not sure if that answers your question. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I just demand an immediate continuation in the style of the film "Iron Sky" (to not violate the rights you can call "Iron Moon") 8-))) Seriously, I get great satisfaction from the game. There, the maps also have a two-dimensional structure, with information about the height of the floor and ceiling. But AC can't do 3D floors. I think the following technical questions would be more appropriate for me to ask on the main Edge-classic forum. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lobo Posted April 11, 2023 Here's the official forum post I guess. Feel free to ask anything you want. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
