YourOpinionsAreWRONG Posted September 23, 2022 Hi everyone. So my real name is Laurence Roberts and I'm a filmmaker from the UK. My short film called "The Amazing World of Emma" has been on a festival run for the past year, but just yesterday it was finally released for the world to see on the YouTube channel Million Youth Media. It's basically consumed my life for the past couple of years so I hope everyone enjoys it! Let me know what you think! 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
Sonikkumania Posted September 24, 2022 Hello Laurence, and congratulations on finishing your movie! I'd like to know, how big was your crew in total? I will write my opinion in spoiler tags since it contains spoilers: I liked the message within, the whole Orwellian setting of "being supervised wherever you are" but due to social pressure rather than political. It really mirrors the modern urban society culture where social media and live streaming are prehelent and internet stalking has no doubt reached a new tip. I honestly would've expected a more Twilight Zone stylish twist in the scene where her friend is being caught with the recording and everything but I understand that when/if you are on a budjet you have to compromise :) The downsides I could think of are some of the acting were, well, somewhat amateur and since I'm not a native British I couldn't catch some dialogue due to accent so subtitles in YT would've been nice, though that might not be up to you. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Hey thank you for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed it! The crew was relatively small, about 10 people (including myself) and we shot the whole thing over the course of 4 days. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
