Hi Fai here I'm gonna be honest, I never finish Eviternity, it's not the map not fun, but too long. I mean seriously some level extend to a hour of playtime, and I'm one of those people who hate long maps. So inspired by that, I made a megawad call Unternity, sadly that get no traction, the views and commant are in single digit, and not much after. only 2 episode released, I'm start getting tired of it. so I made one update and decided to delay it for while. Instead of making all 32 maps by myself, I decided to held a CP or Community Project. the theme is to make a collection of SHORT, EXPLOSIVE, and FUN maps, in search of the purest element of Doom gameplay, hence the name. This is not intended as a classic style doom mapsets like DTWID or something like that, so elaborate more on light contrast and texture alignment, and don't scare of adding more decoration. This project is for everyone, skill level doesn't matter, as long as the maps it's playable and fun. anyway, nuff' said here's the info... full version is out !!!! Maps must be in Boom: Doom2 format Texture must use OTEX, no custom textures except that. For the skybox please use the one provided in OTEX and use sky transfor because we won't touch UMAPINFO. Custom MIDI only, no OG Doom2/ Doom1 MIDIs (TNT MIDI is ok), be creative, perhaps make your own. for the person who apply for Map15/31 please include a sequence to secret exit. The Maps playtime must be less than 30 min on blind. no restriction on monster count but please don't make another NUTS Difficulies should be fair, and please no RNG fights a fully functional map that works in Complevel 9. the map should be designed with pistol start in mind. No My First MapTM please, while the project is for everyone, but if you are very new at mapping I would recommand get familiar with whole mapping process first. Sign me up for MAP15, I guess. I'd also like some clarification on a few things: Do you want any theming by episode? Not necessarily visual themes, but also difficulty curve? My definition of short map doesn't require the size to be "short", if you can make a big map and somehow make it have short playtime than sure. I haven't finished playing Unternity just yet since I joined way too many projects, but I'm at map7 and really enjoyed each one so far. I don't think the amount of likes it got is that bad tbh.
