Doom Animated Textures

I recently got into putting custom textures into my wads with Slade, yet all the waterfalls/moving textures/liquid flats seem to not be animated. What could be the cause of this and how can i fix it? any help would be appreciated.

How would the game know they are supposed to be animated? You'll need to tell it.

Original Doom has hardcoded first and last frame and cycles anything between the two, notably WFALL1-4 are supported but not present in DOOM2.WAD

Boom supports custom animated tables. I think SLADE3 lets you import the one that covers original game to make it work and then expand.

Im using boom, im trying to set up a ANIMDEFS Lump but im not having much success. Im modyfing the textures which i imported. Theyre normal waterfall textures, just recolored.

Damn, guess im just a dumbass then. Could you help me with that? Or at least show me an example i could copy.

SLADE can generate an ANIMATED lump you can edit. You have to create a new entry, and in the New Entry window select the Boom ANIMATED Type, like this:

It creates a lump that in slade3 looks like this:
