What do you feel is the hardest thing about being a doomtuber?

I definitely don't consider other Doom-focused channels competition, more like cohorts.

I think, unlike let's say, Minecraft or League of Legends, which are overly saturated and it's hard to stand out among an ocean of youtubers, Doom actually has very little competition.

 

The hard part is that Doom is still a very niche thing to make videos about, so the average viewership is going to be lower, way lower probably, but also at the same time you don't have to worry about ''competition'' from other channels.

 

I guess it is a double edged sword.

As the two cents from someone who watches a lot of Doom vids but is not a doomtuber herself, I have to say I hardly feel the need for more dedicated channels. I think most facets of the game are pretty well covered already, and it's probably very hard to come up with a truly novel angle.

As a viewer that stuff used to annoy me to no end, but it's become so widespread that I just tune it out now. And the cold hard truth is that it works.
