We will be continuously hotfixing Ethereal Breakdown as it seems to be small bugs at this point. At the pinned original links, the Spawning Factory secret number got fixed.

@United VirusX is doing a 100% playthrough so he will likely find a lot of small bugs to be corrected as he forges on!

The Doom 64 EX PLUS link is still broken. Can anyone share a link to a working copy?

It's already there (I've made sure I put the proper download link). The clickable link, however, gets messed up and brings you back to this thread for some reason.

I see there is a new version updated on Dec 13. Any significant changes or just minor bugfixes?

If anyone needs help getting this running, I am here! :)

I downloaded the game and tried linking Doom 64's remaster exe with ZDL.  Upon clicking the launch option nothing happens.  I tried the Doom 64 ex source port, but when I try launching that it tells me that the executable doesn't work.  Any advice? I really want to check this out.

I got it working with Doom Runner, but doom64.wad needs to reside in the port directory. (This goes for the GOG release only, mind you.)

I'm using the steam version.  Oddly enough when I click launch nothing happens.

You use it automatically when launching Steam. Bottom line is: Doom 64 for Steam doesn't work without Steam, only the GOG edition does. And that's the only one that would work with an external launcher without having the Steam client open.

It should be able to boot up in the Remaster automatically via running the "#RUN.bat" it comes with. Let me know if that works for you!

Thanks!  Finally got it working by dragging it to my steam folder for Doom 64.

I didn't see any of these. Are you sure you are using the right version for your port? At least the one for the Remaster works fine, even if I didn't try the more recent updates.

I finally got around to playing this.  There seems to be alot of weird texture bugs.  Are there plans for a patch in the future?

We continually patch it, and currently have all known fixable bugs fixed, but this is the first time we're hearing about texture bugs. Which port are you using and which version of the mod?

Hmm, I am unsure why textures are bugging out on you. This mod has the most custom textures out of any other Doom 64 mod, so it makes me wonder if it's pushing the RAM of your computer/graphics card.

Strange.  I myself don't have this problem when playing mods on Zdoom.  Is there some other way to install it?

Unlikely, the virtual texture page is a static chunk of memory that's allocated the same on all hardware, and all texture data is allocated exclusively to that page. @Undeadmerc3@aol.com needs to be more descriptive of their issue, including what they've done with the mod and some a screenshot demonstrating the issue.

In the steam launch options of Doom 64 you can do this...

-file "location of wad\wad name.wad"

To manually load the WAD EB comes with. Make sure you are on the latest update of the game too, as the first release years ago sometimes had issues with custom textures.

Sorry to bump this a bit, but I figured i'd might aswell show what i'm talking about.  Figured it wouldn't hurt to show the glitches I found. It could be my computer or Steam itself causing the problem.

Huh, very odd. Do you get similar issues while unmodded? Additionally, can you run the console command "r_showvirtualvram 1" and show what the output looks like in the same scenes?

The output will look like this:

Additionally, post your PC specs (specifically the GPU) and check which renderer API you're using in the video options.

Sure.  Interesting idea.  I attached a photo after typing the command in.  My graphics card is a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.  I use a Dell G5 5590 laptop.

Curious, there seems to be a little bit of extra noise in the monitor textures. Can't say if that's indicative of anything off hand. In your Video options, are you using Vulkan, D3D11 or OpenGL? Additionally, can you perform a clean reinstall of your nvidia drivers?

Judging by how the filtering is even being affected by the noise, it looks like something external on your system (i.e third party software) is introducing the problem into the texture data itself. Whatever that is or why, like some kind of overlay or some "graphical enhancement" program is introducing the issue, it's actually not coming from Doom64.
