erzboesewicht Posted November 5, 2022 (edited) The first "serious" map I tried to make was to be a slum (inspired by CoD's well-known Favela map, but set in a different country) winding up a mountain and ending in a big slaughter encounter on a soccer field at the summit. But I didn't realize that the Doom engine has that problem that you can't easily create buildings with different heights, at least if they are close together and have doors and windows. So the project died after the first few linedefs :) Now that I learnt a bit about mapping, there may be a way to do that map with lots of 3D bridge structures and fake doors, but that would be a pain, so I put it on ice until I learn WadC or another scripting language ... :) (I didn't release anything serious still.
