DawidKoz09xD Posted November 8, 2022 For some reason in 4.9.0 I cannot load any pk3 files such as smooth doom and other mods. The only way to play the mod is to run it manualy. Plese fix that as fast as possible. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
D4NUK1 Posted November 8, 2022 Hello, your post would track more easy the problem to fix on the zdoom forums, as the developers are more time there. Also would be nice if on that post you send a screenshoot of how it's not loading for you, or if there any changes that you may hace missed. And a little thanks in the end works wonderfully. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

I am going to assume something on your end. It may also be that the mod you mentioned is not yet compatible with 4.9.0. 58 minutes ago, DawidKoz09xD said: Plese fix that as fast as possible. I am sure @Graf Zahl is going to work twice as hard knowing your formal and polite complaint. 4 Quote Share this post Link to post

DawidKoz09xD Posted November 8, 2022 But I still think that the autoload is broken for pk3 files. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Shepardus Posted November 8, 2022 4.9.0 changed where gzdoom.ini is stored. Are you editing it in the right location? https://zdoom.org/news#p76741 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I reckon some apology to the port author is in order. 3 hours ago, DawidKoz09xD said: But I still think that the autoload is broken for pk3 files. Based on what? Gut feelings do not apply. 1 hour ago, DawidKoz09xD said: Yes I just put in the command incorrectly but I still think that pk3 files are kinda janky in autoload. But what you think is irrelevant. You want facts. So if you think it is janky, prove it instead of blaming the author. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post

Newsflash: port developers aren't obligated to bow down and kiss your ass when you're having an issue. They do this shit for free, if you've found a bug the correct thing to do is make a simple report, not a personal request. Please learn some manners "as fast as possible". Literally they had a forum dedicated only on Zdoom/GZDoom with bug tracking. idk why somebody would report a bug here. heh 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Also worth noting: "I think that pk3 files are kinda janky" isn't a bug report. You have to be specific if you expect anything to get done. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
