As a Canadian growing up with this pioneering show it really resonated with me so I thought I would make a video about it

I didn't know it was going to be so long so I don't suspect anyone would watch lol but it was fun attempting to do something like this

Remember reboot?

Yes, I remember it! Broadcast in the UK on Channel 5 back in the day, IIRC. In the mid-late 90s I'm pretty sure they ran it back-to-back with Beast Wars, also done by Mainframe. Those shows felt cutting edge in their day and still have a certain charm now. Peak 90s, really.

I used to watch the shit out of it as a child, but only the first season or so due to the channel it airing on broadcasting them out of order.

I was actually shocked to later learn that it had more seasons and that it ended on a massive unresolved cliffhanger.

I also feel sorry for the user who kept getting their ass kicked whenever they tried to play a video game. :(

I remember liking this show as a child, but I couldn't catch it regularly enough to understand the plot. It seems like the characters would randomly die in unexplainable ways and the whole universe would constantly be destroyed, so I'm glad this video confirms that these things did in fact happen. It also explains my constant feeling of existential dread.

I'm just happy to have an in-order plot summary to finally understand what was going on, great job.

I loved this show! Will definitely check out your vid. For some reason in my mind, when I think of this I also am reminded of The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest. Came out 2 years after in 96' but it had similar 90's 3D animation for when they went into "Questworld". Haven't gone back and watched either in a very long time, but I imagine Reboot probably holds up better.

Watched the first episode, loved it, but never saw anything else again.

Have watched the series twice now on YouTube. Amazing. Alphanumeric.

Pushed animation boundaries.

Wasn't Reboot rebooted?

The show was awesome... I remember my dad came home from work one day and told us about it. The next morning, we saw it during  Saturday morning cartoons.

Reboot was technically rebooted in the most terrible offensive way possible

I was too old to have watched this but I remember my little brother watching it. It seemed crazy at the time, using CGI for a kids cartoon, prior it was only seen in Hollywood movies, I'm sure Toy Story and Ants were very expensive and took years to make so I'd never expected it of a Saturday morning cartoon. Of course a few years later it became the norm, hand drawn is pretty much phased out, a lot of modern CGI cartoons are crap but it did lead to decent stuff like the Clone Wars too.

I remember seeing stuff like this in the ninties and hoping "one day video games might look this good".

As a parent now, gotta say a lot of kids shows are far better than we had (growing up in the 80s), I'd pick watching Adventure Time or Teen Titan's Go over He-man and the Masters of the Universe, any day!
