enemy sprites not changing

i tried to edit the imp sprites to look like lego marty mcfly but when i loaded it up it did not work its just the normal doom imp,

Okay, without seeing your archive, any help is impossible. Or, are you able to give any answer to such vagues question?

 

It could be you forgot to set offsets for the sprite. Or you put the sprites into wrong place. Hard to guess without seeing your archive.

You probably forgot sprite markers around your replacement sprites.
