WAD Request

I want someone to make a WAD compatible with the original DOS doom 2 that is just filled to the fucking brim with enemies, mostly imps and shotgunners. I need a rocket launcher, a bfg, an SSG and a plasmagun. The level should be built like a power fantasy but not too easy, even on the hardest difficulty it should be easy despite the large enemy count because of powerups. Very simple level design, just a room, couple pillars and chambers and an exit that opens to DOOM level 2 once the wad is complete. The wad level should be built into doom level 1 and most colors should be bright. the level should be bright over all. Minimal enemy count 250.

Asking people to make stuff for you isn’t a good strategy to make things happen. Try making it yourself if you really want it done.

i dont have the skill to make a doom wad myself, last time i made a doom wad it was not even making a doom wad, it was extracting a level

This is indeed a power fantasy: If you want something, learn to create it yourself, or use Obsidian.

You mean ''I want to make a Doom wad but i don't know how.'' That's a valid theme and we can help with that. Not with making a level out of thin air.

Making a monster spam level in Doom is hardly difficult to make or uncommon. You can find levels with loads of enemies in masses if you look at stuff like NUTS or the slaughtermap genre. (Not to call most of them monster spam there's alot of very well made ones.)

Use a random level generator if you don't feel like trying to make something unique, but still want to play new levels.

Go to the Idgames database and hit the random wad button until the perfect one comes up. There should be tens of thousands so at least one is bound to hit the spot. It could take as little as months. But it'd require no work on my part.

 

Or just download an editor and learn to place enemies and guns on an existing map (maybe Hell Revealed 1 since it has fairly basic architecture) that more or less fits the architecture you want. I think it took me around 5 minutes to figure that out because the editor is mostly super simple.

never knew idgames database existed, thanks. Also my problem is not the whole level design problem when it comes to me making a level, its the level editor itself. I seem to have trouble using the interface and figuring out where things are. I can place enemies and shit but i cant seem to figure out switches, doors, stuff like that. The video should help though

Here  is a tutorial you can take a look at. It's pretty comprehensive, easy to understand and quite frankly, my favorite one to refer to for most new mappers.
