Beating episode 1 (Ultimate doom) without taking a single point of damage!! (Ultra violence)

You'd have to make an exception for E1M8 since the exit for that level requires taking damage, but aside from that there's no reason it wouldn't be possible (and in fact there's a TAS demonstrating this).

If your goal not a maxing every level when why you do some unnecessary cleanups, like green armor area in e1m1? It is not help you on your quest, just consumes time, energy and luck stockpile. Be optimized, put effort to some route planning, and try to practice each map from savegames before attempting actually record the movie.

I think that this one is a obvious exception, you need to "die" to end the level. So it's a inevitable part of the gameplay (Also that moment only happen when you finished the map so yo can count it as a Special exit rather than a damage).

I was going for an early shotgun but didn't want to get sniped so i took out all of the enemies first, the early shotgun helps in the next room because you can get sneeked (is that a word?) up on by shotgunners and a single blast can kill them, rather than praying to rngsus for the pistol to do good damage

This is theoretically possible. However, given the existence of hitscanners, this seems to be  a frustrating exercise in futility best suited for a tool-assisted run, and not an actual use of any human's time.

Probably but I have too much spare time to be rational

I would sooner shave by individually pulling each whisker off my face with tweezers than attempt this. Games are supposed to be fun but hey if abject pain does it for you i won't judge.

Ok maybe a tiny bit.

I'm unsure of why you would try in the first place, but go for it I guess. The biggest question I have is if you're gonna save at the start of levels or try and do it all in one sitting where a single hit resets you back to E1M1.

I will try to do this in a single segment so that it is demo compatible although in practice I will use saves and loads
