seriously just asking something, im using chocolate doom and im trying to load in some wads but it says no IWAD files found, what should i do?

Be sure to have whatever IWAD you fancy in the same directory as the .exe for Chocolate Doom

You need to provide Chocolate Doom with Doom's main asset .wad file, known as an IWAD. Where have you bought/installed Doom?

For playability, you need a IWAD. That could be

 

DOOM.WAD DOOM2.WAD TNT.WAD or PLUTONIA.WAD

 

You can have .wads like OVERBOARD.WAD for example, but without the one needed (always mostly DOOM2.WAD) you can't play.

1. Buy Doom or download Freedoom (No warez or you will die in 6 hours exactly).
2. Put the wad into Chocolate Doom.
3. Profit.

It's a program that you give the parameters of where your source ports are, the parameters of where you Doom.wad, Doom2.wad and TNT/Plutonia.wad files are. Those are your "IWADS". Then you can drag and drop wads and PK3's into it. You can also use literally any source port like chocolate doom. It's an amazing tool.
