Comments: Inspired by, you guessed it, Speed of Doom MAP23. I tried to make this map before but it took so much longer than an hour and I wasn't happy with it anyways, so that's why this map has the II on it, it's my second attempt.

I know it's all just for fun, but what are the general guidelines for these kinds of speed mapping events? It makes sense that you're allowed to fix anything that's downright broken, but what about about playability improvements, balance changes etc? I assume it's not in spirit of the challenge to change those after your time is up. My second map took about 5 minutes to play through, so testing it twice ended up taking 1/6th of my build time away. It was a good learning experience though.

 

(In terms of playability improvements, I had a situation where a key could be hidden by corpses, which doesn't make the map impossible to finish, but does make it very annoying to play)

The scope for this project is very limited, as this is just a fun two day “let’s make maps!” shindig. Maps are in essence “Quick N’ Dirty”

 

im too sick to copy paste the guidelines from previous projects, but here’s what I have for PUSS 22:

Speed mapping is far from my forte; this was a fun challenge. I made an attempt earlier today and had ran out of time. So I started fresh and gave it another try; I managed to finish this just in time.

Not sure where Blue is (probably settled down for his long winter's nap), but Doommas has come and gone. What a wonderful treat to watch this community pump out 45 maps in less than a full 2 days! Compilation will be finished within the next few days, I imagine, but I'll let Blue fill you in on all of that. Here's to hoping you have a wonderful season getting to do what matters most to you. And hell, bring on that new year!

This has been a KILLER December. For those of you who are working also on Dis maps, we still have two more days for those! Map on!
