This doesn't mean there can't be any intermission text as UMAPINFO does support that. All you need to add it is insert:

intertext = "the text of the final level or a normal",
 "level if you include endgame = false"

into the level's UMAPINFO, along with (as the text in the intertext example above suggests):

endgame = false

in the next line of said UMAPINFO, if the level after which you're displaying the text intermission is not the final level (which would be the case here...)

I've tested this personally in both DSDA and prboom+ multiple times and it always works...

These bars look really nice. Also the fact that both of them are made up of exactly 10 lines each is a nice touch...

Hey, here's my map.

Tested in DSDA and GZDoom, in the latter I'd recommend turning off dynamic lights because performance may suffer.

 

Map Name: Journey To The Waterfall of Skulls

Author: Arwel

Music: "Horror Land" from Mario Party 2 with adjustments from Kevin Hill

Sky: Black (I'll think about it, maybe change later if that's ok)

Format: Boom

Difficulty Settings: No

Build Time: Something like 10 hours

Just like to notify the thread I've updated the resource, still just cc4-tex texture wise but new MIDI, edited playpal which shouldn't change how maps look that much, and most importantly the new hud by @ChippiHeppu

I have put my really first map on standby just to make this thing. So, I guess my “really first map TM” is this one now… oh well!

I added a backpack with enough ammo to fill it, because I got REALLY tired of grinding my own meme map. If you want the true experience, try to finish it without using the added ammo.

 

Also, since I can’t really control the player decisions with only 10 lines, you can literally UV-Speed the level under 10 seconds!
