anyways, you can run gzdoom on windows 11 and down to windows 7 iirc, so this thread is kind of pointless

If you are using Windows 7 or above, that same license key can activate a later version. So you can go 7->8->10->11 at no cost with the same license.

Windows makes it quite obvious when they feel it’s time for your system to update to windows 11 much like they did when they rolled out Windows 10. Some systems roll out the update later than others, of course, but they basically beg you to upgrade for free once it is available for your system.
