HorseJockey Posted January 8, 2023 How to have an fantastic time using SLADE and lose hours of work in 6 easy steps!!! Open up an archive for editing. It must be a project that you have spent allot time on, if it's something that is almost finished that is even better. Open up another archive in a new tab. No restrictions, but it must contain over 2,000 files. Start working on your project archive. Something Zscript or script related. A single file, with lets say at least 50 lines of code. Get allot done, make sure that the things you choose to tackle and finish are important to getting it released. This is important!!! Make sure you don't save any of your work and go over to that other archive tab that you have open. Now you want to extract the files from this archive. I was extracting a texture archive in my case. CTRL+A and select all the files in the archive. Now right click and accidently click Rename, it's right at the top of the drop down menu you can't miss it. Enjoy! I know I did. In all seriousness, don't do this. You get stuck in an endless renaming pop up box loop as it iterates through all 2,000 plus files that you have selected. I am unaware of a way to auto cancel all of them and I couldn't force quite because I hadn't saved my previous work in the other tab. I was just amused by the experience and thought it would make an interesting topic. Curious as to others examples of almost lost work because of user error. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
