What I'm doing is launching the enemies off a little cliff before silently teleporting them where this little window in the ceiling is, taking advantage of the silent teleporters preserving height. That's the only part where Boom is relevant and why I mentioned it (I shouldn't have, apparently). I just happened to put the linedef that triggers it too close to the teleport destination and it lead to this screenshot I took in GZDoom. In PrBoom it would just block the monster from teleporting, neither of which is a good outcome - lesson learnt, gotta make sure the landing spot is clear. 5 Share this post Link to post

SleepyVelvet Posted March 12, 2023 Buckled down and churned out a map today. The goal was to make a full map without testing nor even using 3D mode. I'm still doing some final touches, and I have a "mental image" of what the map is supposed to look like, and if I did it all right it should all fall into place cleanly. But, it'll be funny to to see it finally boot up and just be a big dumpster fire instead, or have goofy looking buildings with completely disproportionate heights compared to my mental image of it, etc. If I mess it up it's GG-go-next and I just have to take the L. Halfblind Posted March 12, 2023 Happy birthday! Now have some cake! Best architecture ever. Not naming the map, you're going to have to guess. This one should be easy though. I found this map randomly in the archive recently. When playing as the Doomguy this map is really easy but fun. While playing as Corvus it was a lot more difficult, because it might have been the low gravity of the map. I don't really know. This map is truly a keeper though. 8 Share this post Link to post
