Awesome, and that status bar looks really interesting. BTW, I'm curious about what texture pack did you use. Are these textures from OTEX?

I'm using textures from multiple sets: makkon, otex, aa-tex, foxtex, aquatex, and I'm also using new textures made specifically for this project.

Damn, this looks amazing, really looks like some Eastern Europe's city after rain. If Sandy would came up with the same idea on his city map for Doom 2, computers of the time could probably not cope with this that easy.

 

Well I've been working on my universal hi-res pack for Doom and Smooth Doom. Mountains of work unfortunately, despite the huge variety of tools like cupscale AI, gimp resynthesizer (nice texture restoration tool!) and lots other, it still must be done by hand, yeah lots of redrawing. Some of the textures like intermission screen I was able to track sources (it's master levels bonus poster).

tiny little update to my game. Once the map's finished I'll add brightmaps. Then models for weapons, the player, enemies, objects, etc.

EDIT: turns out the "build" sector lighting option conks up the lighting, I had to switch to "dark" which only makes things slightly brighter whilst keeping that nice darkness that I want from this game.

 

A new room I built, with build lighting:

might have to go through the map and adjust the darkness slightly in every room :P
