What has happened to Laz Rojas?

Before you answer, yes, I'm aware of the Vice documentary and the situation Laz was. The reason I made this post is because as far as I know Laz has been ben disappeared from social media since  2021. I tried to send him an email months ago regarding about a project I thought about doing using his resources, but I got no response. So I wondered if someone has got any news about him.

Last we heard from Laz was about a year or so ago and he was in the same circumstances portrayed in that old Vice documentary.

 

He hasn't been active since and that was the first time he'd posted anything here in well over a decade. Laz appears to be the kind of person who prefers not to be easily contacted. Mind you, as long as you provide credit in your txt files, I'm sure he wouldn't mind you using stuff from his old WADs like any other Doomer in the community.

Why does any other random poster on any forum anywhere stop being active? Life happens. Don't assume the worst, it's likely just that they've become busy or moved on to other things.

The thing is Laz Rojas isn't the typical Doom Community member. It's a long story, but in summary, he was a also filmmaker, but someone stole his identity and he lost all the money he had, and for that reason he has been homeless for years while taking care of his mother. As well as a hacked mail account, a company that refused to pay him thousands of dollars that they owe him, and the list goes. So yeah, I think that's enough reason to wonder if he's ok.

He has posted a bit of info at another topic here this year, but not much. I just messaged him here and via email. I will share any reply I receive. I'm worried about the guy.
